14 Russian lesbians arrived in London for the championship which was held from the 21st to 29th August. Both male and female teams from different countries competed.
The lesbian team 'A-Mega' from Saint Petersburg received a special invitation from the 'London Cruisers' team. Both teams met for the first time at the GLBT 'Our Games' in the summer of 2006.
In 2006 there were only 5 players but now it's a packed team of 11 players. After returning
from the championship 'A-Mega' began training for the GLBT 'Eurogames' to be held in Barcelona.
